ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT STERILIZATION
Ultraviolet light sterilization, also known as Ultraviolet Germicidal Irradiation, is a long-known method of disinfection. Three types of Ultraviolet rays, UV-A, B and C are emitted by the sun. UV-A and B rays reach the earth’s surface, best known for the fact that they cause sunburn.
Ultraviolet type C or UV-C is trapped in the ozone layer and never reaches earth’s surface. Fortunately, special neon globes can produce UV-C which are able to be used for medical sterilization, and we have installed these in all Jackpersad and Partners Xray departments.
